Tim Aaron

Tim Aaron is a Los Angeles based composer and musician with a wide range of talent as big as his musical influences.

Majoring in film and minoring in music college, TIm studied with jazz/classical/experimental legends Yusef Lateef, Bill Harris, and Eugene Chadbourne. He then formed the alternative band Gobblehoof (with J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. on drums), opening for acts such as Nirvana, Marilyn Manson, Green Day, and the aforementioned Dinosaur Jr., touring the U.S. and Europe as both a guitarist and bassist.

Tim then gained experience with pop/acoustic music when he was hired as the original guitarist for The Lisa Marie Presley Band and as a member of the band Merrick, with Inara George (The Bird and The Bee).

Over time, Tim began building a resume of music work for film and television, deciding to switch his career focus to music writing. Among his accomplishments in this field include being the series composer for The Andy Milonakis Show (MTV), Saul of the Mole Men (Adult Swim) and A Young Person's Guide to History (Adult Swim).

Tim has not given up his love for performing live though, recently playing with the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and Zander Schloss (The Circle Jerks, The Weirdos), at a benefit concert in Hollywood for Strummerville.

Tim will be releasing a record he made with guitarist Matt Sweeney (Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash) soon on Ecstatic Peace, the label of Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth).
